Slow and Steady Does the Trick
In this week’s edition of the LifePro Asset Management Market & Portfolio Review, our head of Wealth Management, Robert Reaburn, focuses on the health of the U.S. consumer and what that means for the U.S. economy and the overall direction of stock prices in the second half of the year.
Robert will also be discussing how to judge and invest in a stock market that is close to or at record highs. Not all record stock market highs are the same, so it’s important to gauge whether a record high is backed by key persistence factors or whether it’s a last gasp as part of a fading business cycle. We will review the factors we use to judge the health of a rally and what insights those factors are providing today.
Additionally, we are going to focus on how U.S. stocks are performing relative to their global peers and more importantly, we will break down some of the key factors influencing performance. Lastly, we will assess how interest rates in Europe and Japan are impacting the cost of capital for U.S. companies and what that means for investors.
